New grant aims to transform abandoned homes in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Today the Columbus City Council announced the Learning Skills to Lift Neighborhoods grant program which will award $130,000 to not-for-profit organizations in the hopes of transforming abandoned houses into lovely homes.

 

Council member Jaiza Page, chair of the Housing Committee, joined by Director Steve Schoeny, announced the return of the program – this being its second installment. The first grant was awarded in 2016.
